The Chocolate Lab Experience
The Chocolate Lab is a boutique chocolate and gift shop with a purpose. Opened in 2023 as part of The Nicholas Center, we provide hands-on training in culinary arts and retail to Autistic adults, creating meaningful opportunities for growth, creativity, and connection.
Every treat is finished by hand, from chocolate covered favorites to custom gift baskets, using a one at a time approach that puts care into every detail. The result is thoughtful, beautifully crafted sweets that make every gift feel special.

The TNC Chocolate Lab is a premier social enterprise of The Nicholas Center (TNC). Here, the "Lab" serves as a highend vocational training ground for individuals on the autism spectrum, a population currently facing an 85% unemployment rate. We are changing that statistic through the power of the work. Our chocolatiers aren't just participants; they are professionals mastering complex trades in Culinary Arts and Retail Management, overseeing everything from professional production and inventory control to customer service.
In a world that often focuses on what people with disabilities cannot do, the Lab is a place that showcases just one of the many things they can achieve.
